Za mesto Kos pravijo, da je danes eno najlepših mest v Grčiji. Ima približno 16.000 prebivalcev in moderno infrastrukturo z širokimi cestami lepo plažo in čudovitim romantičnim pristaniščem ter viteško palažo. Bogata vegetacija kaže na skoraj tropsko podnebje, nekateri pa mestu pravijo tudi mesto koles. Mesto ima tudi zanimivo tržnico in moderne hotele, ki kažejo na razvitost turizma.


Marmari

Več kilometrov dolga, fina, svetla peščena plaža je glavna značilnost tega počitniškega kraja na zahodnem delu otoka. V kraju, ki je majhno razpršeno naselje, najdete nekaj tipičnih tavern, v bližnji matični občini Pili, oddaljeni pribl. 2 km, pa lahko doživite pristno Grčijo. Čas transferja: pribl. 30 minut.
